Between the Streets with Krzysztof Debicki - 06.03.2017

Krzysztof's artwork draws on the formalism, social impact, and individual experience of architecture as localized singularities but also in the broader context of the aesthetics and function of an urban agglomeration. His practice has always been based on a strong drawing foundation influenced in particular by architectural drawing and an interest in the topographies of sites of urban renewal in large cities.

Krzysztof Debicki is a Canadian artist of Polish origin who has lived and worked in Calgary, New York, Rome, Barcelona, Beirut, and Osaka before settling in Berlin in 2011, where he recently completed his MA in Spatial Strategies at the Weißensee Art Academy. Six months as a bicycle vagabond over 7000km in Mediterranean Europe may or may not be mythical.
